Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Wattonomy ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you use our website, app and services. For data-protection purposes, Wattonomy is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: support@wattonomy.app.

1. What we collect

  • Account data — your email and name, and for Pro users the company/profile details you enter (business name, logo, contact, licence).
  • Design data — the inputs you provide to generate a design (loads, platform, region, run lengths) and the outputs we create for you.
  • Payment data — purchases are handled by Paddle (see below). We do not see or store your full card details; we receive only confirmation and limited transaction information.
  • Usage and device data — pages visited, actions taken, approximate location from IP, and browser/device type, collected via Google Analytics and standard server logs.
  • Communications — messages you send us, such as support requests.

2. How we use it

To provide and operate the Service and your account; to process purchases and manage subscriptions (via Paddle); to provide support; to understand and improve the Service; to keep it secure and prevent abuse; and to meet legal obligations.

3. Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR)

We rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service and your account); our legitimate interests (to operate, secure and improve the Service); your consent (for non-essential analytics cookies, where required); and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Who we share data with

We share personal data only as needed with service providers who process it on our behalf, including Paddle (payments and merchant-of-record services), Supabase (database and account hosting), Render (application hosting) and Google Analytics (website analytics). We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show advertising in the Service.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies needed for the Service to function, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; where required by law, we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies.

6. International transfers

Some providers (e.g. Google, Paddle) may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are used.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email support@wattonomy.app. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes will be notified through the Service or by email.
