Home › Quiet generator alternative

The quiet alternative to a market generator.

Generators run at the volume of a lawnmower beside your booth, and more markets cap noise or ban them outright. A silent battery system is welcome everywhere — Wattonomy sizes it to your real loads so it lasts the day, no engine, no fuel.

A loud generator can cost you the good pitches.

Markets and events increasingly enforce noise caps or ban generators outright — and the rules change year to year. A whisper-quiet battery system trades wherever you go. Wattonomy sizes the bank to carry your loads all day and sizes every cable and fuse to carry its load, to ABYC E-11.

A silent stall system in four numbers.

Quiet, allowed-everywhere power that lasts the whole day.

Trading-day energy

Lights, a cooler, the card reader, a fan and charging — summed as real Wh for a full day.

Battery to last

Sized to the day on an honest depth-of-discharge — no dead pack mid-afternoon.

Surge headroom

Sized so a compressor or kettle start-up never trips the inverter at the worst moment.

Cables & fuses

Every gauge and fuse sized to its load and run length, to ABYC E-11.

Questions

How loud is a generator vs a battery system?

Petrol generators run around 80–100 dB — a lawnmower next to your booth — while a battery system is silent. Many markets cap noise near 60 dB or ban generators, so silent power simply lets you trade where they can’t.

Will a battery actually last a full market day?

Sized properly, yes — the tool sizes the bank to your real loads and trading hours with honest reserve, instead of the optimistic rating on a portable power station.

Can I still run a cooler or small appliances?

Yes — the tool sizes for their start-up surge and is honest when a high-draw item needs a bigger inverter or bank.

Do I need an account?

No. Design the whole system free, no email required. Accounts are only for saving builds or the printable build binder.

Is this just trying to sell me a kit?

No. The parts list is vendor-neutral and standards-referenced — buy the components anywhere. We make the design, not the markup.

The standards we build to

Plain version: these are the recognized rulebooks your design is sized against, so the numbers hold up to a surveyor, an inspector or an insurer.

Wattonomy applies these standards in its calculations. It is not certified, sponsored or endorsed by ABYC, ISO, NFPA or Victron — it sizes your design to meet what they require, and shows the working.
